That’s Right! It’s The Graffiti Peep Hole 1967-1975

This is the story of the discovery of a rare radio promo 7” by an obscure band named Graffiti Peep Hole and the journey that culminated in the release of this anthology.

The Graffiti Peep Hole were a musical collective from parts unknown that created a steady output of music between the years 1967 to 1975. Most of the music contained on this album has been previously unreleased (except for two impossible to find, small run, radio promo 7”s) and, without the tenacity of the anthology’s producer Hue McDubbin, may never have seen the light of day.

Musically the Graffiti Peep Hole settles in nicely among their contemporaries in the rock’n’roll world. As these recordings span nine historically tumultuous years you can hear their sound evolve from it’s more hippie 1967 “summer of love” roots to a more rockin’ mid-seventies sound by their demise.

All of the recordings are from master tapes kept safe by original producer Luigi Carotenuto who recorded most of the sessions from his Potere Operaio studio in Monza, Italy. These tapes were re-discovered by auralist Hue McDubbin after stumbling across the Graffiti Peep Hole’s first 7”. His obsession with the music on these 2 sides lead to the discovery of 16 songs by this mysterious band.

All of the music contained in this collection has been remastered from the original tapes and is presented in chronological order. This release also contains a 36 page booklet with the complete story of the discovery of the Graffiti Peep Hole including two exclusive interviews; one with producer Luigi Carotenuto and the second with long time Graffiti Peep Hole session musician Filip Mercadillo.
