“The Wizards of Ozlow” raconte en photos les impressions que nous a laissées Christiania Freetown, district indépendant de la ville de Copenhague, au Danemark. En octobre 2023, l’artiste cartographe Shane Watt et moi-même avons eu pour mission de concevoir une carte illustrant ce que nous avons perçu de la ville dite “libre”: son histoire, sa communauté, ses fonctionnements, paradoxes et secrets.

“The Wizards of Ozlow” recounts in photos the impressions that Christiania Freetown, an independent district of the city of Copenhagen, in Denmark, left on us. In October 2023, cartographer Shane Watt and I were tasked with designing a map illustrating what we perceived of the so-called “free” city: its history, its community, its functioning, paradoxes and secrets.Isn’t freedom simply the power to freely express what one sees?
